Aloysius

Aloysius is a character in the serial Scryer's Gulch. He haunts the corner cell at the sheriff's office, where his major occupation seems to be to annoy Sheriff Runnels and the Deputy. He seems to like both Jamie Runnels and Georgie Prake well enough, though.

Aloysius never went to school and is functionally illiterate. Before becoming the jailhouse ghost he was a horse thief, for which he got hanged. When he manifests, he takes the shape of a pot-bellied, bearded, rather greasy-looking man in suspendered trousers and a frock coat over long underwear.

He is friends with Ralston Jones, although the two ghosts only meet once a year on Halloween.
