Annabelle Duniway

Annabelle Duniway is the main character in the serial Scryer's Gulch. She is a Treasury agent, sent by her boss, Chief Howman to Scryer's Gulch to find out who is poisoning the hermetauxite ore produced in the town. She is working undercover, assisted by her demon Misi. Her skill is not in encoding hermetauxite for a specific purpose, but in wielding hermetauxite tools–she is the best wielder in the Department. Previous jobs include an assignment in Toledo, where she had a run-in with the head of the local police, Chief DuPont.

Officially, she was hired as a school teacher by Mayor Prake. Miss Duniway has taken up residence in a private suite in the Hopewell Hotel, which is situated directly above the apartment of the hotel owner, Julian Hopewell.

Miss Duniway was raised both Methodic and Enthusiast, the product of a rare mixed marriage. Despite an attraction to the formality and logic of the Method she follows her mother's Enthusiast beliefs.

She is described as a striking young woman with blond hair, cornflower blue eyes, a tidy figure, a well-turned ankle, a pert nose, and cheeks like roses on porcelain.
