Bren

Bren is a cameo character in An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom, appearing in book three, The Last Royal Mistress. She is based on the forum member kawaiikune.

Bren works as a plumber in Tremont Keep, disguised as a boy because women are not normally allowed to be plumbers. Her father was a plumber of some renown in Barle, and taught her the tricks of the trade. After his death, however, her significant other (thus far unnamed) came to the Keep to work as a mason, and she followed him. He got her the job by pretending she was his younger brother, but after two years of staying under the radar, her cover won't last much longer. She has recently finished her devotionals at the Temple of Eddin, and hopes that the Scholars will continue to teach her despite her gender.

Bren's real name is Bresenna, and she became friends with Arta after being assigned to repair the plumbing in the Old Residence wing.
