Britt Aneen

Britt Aneen is a character in An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom. She is from Sairland and is Brinnid's longtime personal chef, dating from when she was the woman assigned to nanny the midshipmen on the voyage that was Brinnid's "middy cruise". She accompanied Brinnid to Tremont Keep in 990 KY along with her second, Nessig, and her scullery maid, Ania.

Britt is in her late 30s and described as handsome and stout, tall, ample of hip and breast, with graying chestnut hair, a wide, wry mouth, a little lump of a nose, and snapping blue eyes.

She is unmarried, cheerful and unflappable, and administers a tidy caning now and again. She tends to pour on the folksiness mostly to annoy or disarm people. She has the grudging respect of Tremontine head chef Pennik Palks. Britt has the knack, and in fact was asked in her youth by a Beloved of the local Lovers' Temple to join, with a promising future as a Beloved. She declined, being unwilling to live in just one place, but has taken several lovers over the years, including Hobbig Harshfield, Standfast Jenks, Ania, a man named Stoneman, whom she credits with the deftest touch, and another named Porter, whom she describes as having a very soft skin.
