Church of Our Lady of the Great Hullabaloo

The Church of Our Lady of the Great Hullabaloo is a location in the serial Scryer's Gulch. It is the Enthusiast church in the town, the other church being Methodic. The Church of Our Lady of the Great Hullabaloo is just outside of town on account of the noise. The leader of the Enthusiast community in Scryer's Gulch is Brother Fattipickel.
Enthusiasm is regarded as the predominant belief of the Irish and the Italian. It puts much emphasis on sound — singing, shouting, wailing, etc. During a sermon, each member is expected to sing the Joyful Noise in turn, with the choir answering each offering with an Amen. This is then followed by the Wails and Apologies, where everyone tears at their hair, weeps, rolls about in the aisles and prostrates themselves before the Great Mother. The following optional sermon, called the Great Encouragement, consists of the congregation, led by the Brother, individually complimenting everyone present. Finally, the collection plate is passed around.
