Council of Regents

The Council of Regents is a fictitious entity in An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom.

King Harsin III, who hated his mother, Queen Macca, invented the Council of Regents so he could more easily wipe the history records of any mention of her in the years between the death of Harsin's father, Ilhovin the Peacemaker and Harsin's ascension to the throne. Harsin had her accomplishments attributed to the Council of Regents instead – a strategy that seems to have been as successful as Macca's own efforts to cast doubt on any mention of magic in the official history: Queen Macca is all but unknown in Tremont, although she is still fondly remembered in Sairland.
