Durrovid Bakerson

Commander Durrovid Bakerson is a minor character in the serial An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom, appearing in book three, The Last Royal Mistress.

He was a Commander in the Sairish Navy and lived in Grasshills manor on Finthaven Island when he wasn't at sea. His humorless face was weathered and long, almost horselike, with graying, neatly trimmed mustaches and beard. He was tall, an attribute accentuated by the heeled boots he wore, and gave an impression of wealth and command.

Bakerson was a friend of Hart Rosewell and married his stepdaughter Lisset, who ran away during one of his frequent absences in the fourth year of their marriage. Ototo was one of the many gifts Commander Bakerson brought home for his wife from his voyages.
