Ennia

Ennia is a character in the serial An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom.

Ennia is the title character in the Tremontine myth called Ennia's descent. She is described as being tall, fair, and originally blue-eyed.

In the Descent, Ennia is one of the ancient wise women, protégée and lover of one of the greatest wise women, Mavierna. In the story, Ennia and Mavierna are attacked by Temmarkur, who ends up raping Mavierna. Mavierna draws in all the women's magic everywhere to curse Temmarkur, killing him. Temmarkur's divine father, Farr, prompotly takes revenge by turning to Mavierna to stone, so Ennia ends up going on a quest to recover her beloved Mavierna. She is aided along the way by the god Eddin, who marks her with his own silver eyes. Ennia ultimate sacrificies everything including her name to the goddess Harla in a bid to rescue Mavierna, but is told by the Bloody One that Mavierna isn't dead, so she can't be rescued. The now Nameless woman must simply wait until Farr's anger cools and the stone imprisoning Mavierna crumbles away. However, Harla does promise the Nameless that she will not die until Mavierna does, and that Mavierna won't die until she is free. So legend has it that the Nameless still walks the world of the living, waiting while the stone pillar erodes away.
