Petitioner

Petitioner is a religious title in An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom and refers to someone who has a request for a service rendered by a Temple.

In the Lovers' Temple for example, a Petitioner may ask for a simple blessing or may request a private session in one of the Petitioning Rooms with a member of the Temple staff. The services rendered in the Petitioning Rooms can range from counseling to sex in all its forms.

Similarly, in the Sister's Temple, where one goes for physical healing, what we would think of as a patient would be referred to as a Petitioner.
