Temmarkur

Temmarkur is a character in the serial An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom.

Temmarkur is a demigod in the pantheon of Tremont that allegedly lived in ancient times. He was the son of the god Farr by a mortal woman; it is said that he was Farr's favorite son. Temmarkur's death is related in the tale of Ennia's Descent, where he attacked and pursued the wise women Mavierna and Ennia, intent on raping the the women. They ran from him, but Farr prevented them from getting help, so Mavierna took off her clothes to distract Temmarkur while Ennia escaped and hid. Temmarkur promptly raped Mavierna, but she used all the world's women's magic to curse him as he climaxed so that instead of ejaculating his seed, he spent his life force instead and died. His father avenged him by turning Mavierna into a stone pillar, or in at least one Corrish version of the tale, a tree.
